A Dalit Youth by name Pranay Perumalla was hacked to death in broad daylight at Jyothi Hospital in Miryalaguda. Pranay was brutally attacked from behind while he was coming out of the hospital along with his Pregnant Wife Amrutha.
Pranay Permalla and Amrutha, who are Engineering graduates hailing from Nalgonda, had fallen in love. They got married six months ago against the wishes of their Parents.
Amrutha's Father Maruthi Rao who is a well-known builder from an upper caste disapproved their relationship and attempted everything he can to separate them. He even tried to offer money to Pranay's Family for separating the married couple. Whereas, Pranay and Amrutha are so firm on staying together what-so-ever. They had even threw a grand reception few months ago.
Maruthi Rao & Amrutha's Uncle Sravan conspired to kill Pranay by hiring contract killers for a price of Rs 10 lakh. Pranay and Amrutha who never thought Maruthi Rao would go to such extremes continued to stay in Nalgonda. Protests have been staged by organisations condemning the Honour Killing of Pranay. While Amrutha was admitted to the ICU of Jyothi Hospital, Conspirators Maruthi Rao and Sravan have been absconding.
