Man Who Fired Bullets In RTC Bus Is AP Cop

An Individual opening fire in an RTC Bus at Punjagutta on Thursday morning created a panic situation. The Person was identified as Srinivas who is a police officer attached to the security wing of AP Intelligence Department. He was assigned the duty of acting as a security officer for a Prominent Personality from AP in Hyderabad.
As per media reports, An argument took place between the Cop and Co-Passengers who raised objection to him standing on the footboard of the bus. The Police Officer then pulled out the pistol and opened fire in a bid to threaten the passengers. Everyone present in the bus were left stunned after the bullet pierced through the roof of the bus. Srinivas fled from the scene immediately. This incident happened when the Cop was returning to his residence.
Bus Driver Yakub Basha and Conductor Bhupathi took the bus to the Secunderabad Cantonment depot without stopping for several kilometres. Thereafter, They lodge a police complaint in Punjagutta.
AP DGP RP Thakur assured appropriate action after thorough investigation. He told opening fire in a crowded bus is an unpardonable crime.
