Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told he expected his successor to fulfill the promise he had made to Andhra Pradesh on the floor of the House. He demanded NDA Government to accord Special Category Status to AP.

CPI MP D Raja: 'Arun Jaitley demanded Special Category Status to AP for a period of 10 Years during the debate on Telangana Bill in Rajya Sabha. He, however, forgot the promise after becoming the Finance Minister and citing 14th Finance Commission as an excuse'.

JD (U) MP Ramachandra Prasad Singh demanded Special Category Status for AP and Bihar.

CPM MP Rangarajan told NDA have the responsibility to implement bifurcation act.

Akali Dal MP Naresh Gujral: 'Seemandhra has been facing cash crunch due to bifurcation. People won't have faith on Parliament if the promise made by PM wasn't implemented'.

Congress MP KVP Ramachandra Rao made it clear people of AP have been demanding only the implementation of promises made by Rulers and no new demands have been placed. He accused NDA Government of neglecting the promises made to AP for political gains. He cautioned people will lose hope on Parliament if such crucial promises were neglected.
