What Manmohan said about Note Ban & GST?

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh didn't hesitate to say Note Ban & GST broke the back of Small Businesses. 'Both Demonetisation and GST were badly designed and hastily implemented. Note Ban was an organized loot and legalized plunder. Such a step wasn't taken by any other Democratic Country in the World,' he told while interacting with a group of traders and businessmen at an event in Ahmedabad, on the eve of first anniversary of Demonetisation.

Manmohan Singh disclosed NDA Government's economic reforms have helped China more than India. 'The Chinese imports cost Indian Jobs. While India's imports from China were valued at Rs 1.96 lakh crore in the first half of 2016-17, This increased to Rs 2.41 lakh crore in this financial year. That's a 23 percent increase in imports,' he says.

Ex-PM questioned whether PM Modi considered alternative to the Rs 1.10 lakh crore costing Bullet Train. 'Does questioning Bullet Train becomes anti-development? Does questioning Note Ban and GST make one a tax evader? This attitude of branding those who raise questions as anti-national and thief damages democratic discourse,' he cautions.
