As a true artist, your real sense of happiness comes when your work is appreciated in forms of awards. The Indian government has been honoring the artists with many titles and the greatest among them is the Dadasaheb Phalke award. It is coming out that critically acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee will be honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

Manoj won the award for his performance in Hansal Mehta's biographical drama, "Aligarh". He was chosen for award under Best Actor category (Critics' Choice).Mehta took to Twitter to mention about the award.

"Dadasaheb Phalke Award in the Best Actor (Critics' Choice) to Manoj Bajpayee for his portrayal of Professor Ramchandra Siras in 'Aligarh'," Mehta tweeted on Friday night.

"Thank you for your tremendous appreciation and love. Feeling extremely honoured," Manoj Reponded.

Manoj is one of the versatile actor and he has been a part of critically acclaimed films like Zubeidaa, Raajneeti, Gangs of Wasseypur, Chakravyuh and Special 26.

Manoj is the recipient of two National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards. The National Award winning actor will next be seen as a traffic constable in the upcoming film "Traffic". The award ceremony will take place on Sunday.
