Social Media played a key role in the victory of Donald Trump in US Presidential Polls. Even the Republican Presidential Candidate isn't shying away from accepting the reality.
Post his dramatic victory, Donald Trump said Social Media has played a huge role in his win and the fact that he have a massive following on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram really helped him. He sees it as a cost-effective campaign and very influential as well.
Facebook received backlash after Donald Trump made these comments. Supporters of Democratic Party were angry with it as they believe Facebook did play a role in shift of the wave from Hillary to Trump.
The social networking giant is now desperately trying to prove no partiality was shown. CEO Mark Zuckerberg makes it clear 99% of the content on Facebook is genuine and only 1% is either fake or hoax content.
