Media Focus Decreased On Drugs Issue?

The viewers who watched the news in TV channels yesterday will surely get this doubt. It is known that the drugs case, SIT team investigation of film celebrities news occupied the majority of the airtime in the Telugu news channels in the recent past. They have telecasted the SIT investigation news 24X7 as a breaking news ever since questioning of the celebrities has begun.

Several Tollywood elders are upset with the excessive media coverage on the drugs issue. They never left the opportunity to criticise the media's over action. Some celebrities alleged that media is targeting film industry. It is known that SIT officials have served notices to a dozen Tollywood celebrities. When each one is attending the questioning, channels gave live coverage of minute details even though SIT officials have not officially revealed anything about the investigation.

Surprisingly, the media was quiet on Saturday. It is known that the SIT officials have questioned Ravi Teja's former driver Srinivas. Media didn't show much interest towards his questioning. When film celebrities came to Excise office for questioning, the same media gave live coverage. Netizens are questioning the media that why they have decreased focus on driver Srinivas questioning.

News channel reporters have a different version on this. When a film celebrity goes to attend questioning, people show interest to watch the news because of the celebrity. But people will not show interest to watch Ravi Teja driver. That's the reason why media didn't give much coverage on his questioning.

Some opine that media should give coverage based on the intensity of the crime but not based on the image of the celebrity. Whatever be the case, driver Srinivas questioning episode is very dull in the drugs saga.
