Meedi Tenali vs Maadi Tenali in Tenali
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 Jun 2023 9:21 AM GMTThis one assembly constituency could make or break the Janasena-TDP alliance ahead of the 2024 elections. Both the TDP and the Jana Sena are coveting this seat and the claimants for the seat too have remarkable pedigree. Will the TDP yield space to the Jana Sena in this constituency or will the Jana Sena be forced to make way for the TDP here? That perhaps could determine the fate of the alliance!!
The constituency in question is Guntur district's Tenali constituency. Former minister and senior TDP leader Alapati Rajendranath has been nurturing the constituency for quite some time. He had won from here in the past and wants to contest this time. But, his once arch-rival Nadendla Manohar could become his alliance partner and claim the seat.
Nadendla is no pushover. He is the No 2 in the Jana Sena and is practically the most important leader in the party after Pawan Kalyan. As former speaker and several time MLA, Nadendla Manohar has deep roots in the constituency. There is practically no way that the TDP can ignore his claim on Tenali seat if there is an alliance with the Jana Sena.
Thus, the prospects of an alliance with the Jana Sena will depend on whether the TDP gives in and allows Nadendla to contest from Tenali. If sources are to be believed, Nadendla Manohar has already announced that he would contest from Tenali alliance or no alliance. Now that he is determined, the TDP, which badly needs an alliance, will have to make some adjustment in Tenali.
