Chiru And Rajini's Support Behind Former Actress

Ending the weeks of speculation regarding her candidature, former Congress leader Ambareeshâs wife and former actress Sumalatha finally announced that she is going to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
As Congress has denied to give ticket to her, Sumalatha is going to contest in the Lok Sabha polls as an independed member. Despite the rejection, Sumalatha toured Mandya for three weeks and held several meetings with residents as well as local leaders. Sumalatha claimed that people of Mandya have assured her their support and local Congress party workers also supported het. "I am contesting as an independent candidate,â said Sumalatha in a press meet in Bengaluru on Monday. She stated that when she was in a dark period in her life (after Ambareesh's death), Ambareeshâs supporters were there for her and wanted her to continue Ambareeshâs legacy.
Sumalatha also announced that she would file her nomination on March 20 at 10 am in Mandya and she has the support of people, Superstar Rajinikanth and Megastar Chiranjeevi.
