Governor faces Sexual Harassment charges

Meghalaya Governor Shanmuganathan submitted his resignation after Raj Bhavan employees has levelled sexual harassment allegations against him. 'He changed Raj Bhavan into Young Women Club. Employees have been humiliated and were under severe stress since he took charge,' they demand.
About 98 Employees of Raj Bhavan forwarded a petition to President Pranab Mukherjee, PM Narendra Modi & Home Minister Rajnath Singh seeking the removal of Shanmuganathan from Governor post. They accused Governor of compromising on the dignity of Raj Bhavan as young ladies began entering it at will and most of the having direct access to his bedroom.
A Woman who attended the job interview for a post in Raj Bhavan accused Shanmuganathan of making advances and behaving in an objectionable manner. Whereas, A signature campaign seeking removal of Governor was begun by Women Activists.
Shanmuganathan was appointed as Meghalaya Governor in May 2015. He even graced the Republic Day celebrations in Arunachal Pradesh the other day. As pressure began mounting on him, He finally resigned to the post last night.
