Men don't commit Suicide: Union Minister

Union Minister Maneka Gandhi is of the impression that men don't commit suicide. Much to everyone's shock, She claims to have not even heard of a single such case so far. The Women and Child Welfare Minister made these comments during the Facebook live session regarding the Centre's initiative to bring down the suicide rates.
In reply to a query, Maneka Gandhi asked: 'Which men have committed suicide? Why not try and resolve the situation rather than commit suicide. I have not heard or read of a single case'.
As per National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), About 1,33,623 suicides were recorded in the country in 2015. Out of it, 91,528 (68 percent) were committed by men itself.
About 86,808 Married People committed suicide in 2015. Out of it, 64,537 (74 percent) were committed by Men. Does Maneka Gandhi wish to say these statistics were wrong? or Is she having an 'anti-Men' stand?
Lastly, Maneka tried to cover up the damage a bit by agreeing that there is need for Ministry to handle issues related to Men just alike it's been for women.
