Mild tremors felt in Guntur & Prakasam district

People of Guntur and Prakasam districts woke up to mild tremors on Wednesday
morning. As per reports mild tremors caused panic in two districts the wee hours of Wednesday.Tremors were experienced in Ongole, Addanki, Inkollu, Ballikuruva and several other areas in Prakasam district this morning.
Those sleeping on the floors and terraces ran out in panic at around 6:10 am. The tremors continued for 6-7 seconds. People ran away from houses for safety. No casualties reported.
At similar hours, many people of Guntur district also experienced mild tremors which lasted for 4-5 seconds. The people of Maddirala, Rajapet, Eddavalli, Murikipudi villages felt the tremor.Several villages under Chilakaluripeta constituency experienced the tremors.
As the doors and windows slightly rattled, people ran out of their houses for safety.However, officials said that it was a very low quake like phenomenon and the tremors have been caused due to various other reasons.
