Former president of Nirmal district's AIMIM leader Farooq Ahmed has rntried to end his life. Ahmed was arrested for whipping up a revolver andrn shooting his rivals over a small tiff near his residence A small rndispute among the children over a cricket match was enough to make him rnshoot his neibhbours. Two of them suffered serious injuries.
Ahmed,rn who is now lodged in jail in connection with the incident, tried to rnkill himself by ramming his head to the walls of the prison on rnWednesday. Alert officials stopped him and rushed him to the hospital. rnHis condition is stated to be serious and he has been brought to rnHyderabad for better treatment. Ahmed attacked his neighbours with an rnillegal weapon on December 12 and was arrested. Though he has tried to rnsecure bail in the case, he couldn't. As a result, he was very dejected rnand tried to kill self on March 24.
He was the former municipal rnvice-chairman and the president of the Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen in rnNirmal district After the incident, he has been removed from the party rnpost. Since then, he has been very depressed, sources close to him said.
