Former Karnataka Minister, mining king 'Gali Janardhana Reddy' who had surprised the entire country with his mining case has become a big topic for one more time with his actions. However, he was in the middle of the news this time for a good reason and people are welcoming the decision the ex-Karnataka Cabinet Minister took.

The mining baron had participated in an event in Karnataka's Bellary that was held to pay respects to Kannada Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar who left us recently. Gali Janardhan Reddy paid floral tributes to the star and addressed the gathering.

Calling the sudden demise of Puneeth Rajkumar a big loss to the Kannada industry, Gali Janardhan Reddy said he will build a free school and hospital in Bellary. The facility will be named after Puneeth Rajkumar as a bid to honor him. Free school and hospital will be built with our funds. To serve the poor we took the decision, Gali Janardhan Reddy said at the event.

People in Karnataka are unable to digest the news of Puneeth Rajkumar’s demise. His fans are visiting his Samadhi in Bangalore daily. On average, thousands of his fans are visiting his Samadhi at the premises of Kanteerava Studios. The government had allowed the fans to visit the Samadhi recently.

On the other hand, fans and a few politicians are demanding that Puneeth Rajkumar should be honoured with Padma Shri posthumously. The demand for the same was placed before Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.On social media too, netizens are extending their support for the demand.

Puneeth Rajkumar, fondly called Appu by his fans, was laid to rest in the premises of Kanteerava Studio, next to his father Karnataka Legendary actor Dr. S. Rajkumar. The Karnataka government accorded full state honours to the actor. Three rounds were fired in the air by cops. Puneeth Rajkumar was wrapped in tricolor.

Besides fans, famous personalities from politics like Karnataka Chief Minister, former Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, film stars of various languages have reached the Kanteerava studios where he was kept for the last glimpse and paid their respects. The state was on high alert after he left the world.
