Minister Tests Corona Positive Days After Taking Covaxin Trial Dose

A Minister's decision to administer himself to take a dose of Coronavirus vaccine Covaxin backfired after he was diagnosed with the pandemic, days after taking the trial dose.
Going into details, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij, who offered to be the first volunteer to take the vaccine dose took the trial dose on the 20th of November at a hospital in Ambala.
Now, he has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. He announced the news of testing positive for the virus on his Twitter handle. He appealed to the public who might have come in contact with him to undergo Corona tests.
'I have been tested Corona positive. I am admitted in Civil Hospital Ambala Cantt. All those who have come in close contact to me are advised to get themselves tested for corona,' his tweet read.
The Covaxion vaccine is being manufactured by Bharat Biotech and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The vaccine has completed its 1st and 2nd phase of clinical trials and the output is quite impressive.
The third phase of Covaxin was started in India earlier in November. He was given the vaccine shot as part of the third stage of the vaccine trial.
