Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson announced his retirement from International Cricket and the ongoing 2nd Test Match against New Zealand will be his last game.

While announcing his retirement, Mitchell Johnson said: "I feel now is the best time to say goodbye. I have been lucky enough to have had a wonderful career and enjoyed every moment of playing for my country. It's been an incredible ride. But the ride has to come to an end at some point and to do so here at the WACA is very special".

Mitchell Johnson is only the fourth highest Test wicket taker among Australians. He stands next to Legends of the game Shane Warne (708), Glenn McGrath (563) and Dennis Lillee (355).

With the most senior bowler in Australian squad saying goodbye, The question 'who will be his successor?' will be raised. Mitchell Starc or Josh Hazlewood?
