Perform Surgery or Face Post-Mortem

Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday met Agricuture Minister T Harish Rao at his residence, fueling the speculations that he would join TRS. Post the meeting, He informed that the meeting doesn't have any political importance. 'I have come here to convey birthday wishes to Harish Rao and talk about the irrigation projects in Nalgonda,' he told.
When a media person quizzed him if he would shift loyalties to TRS, Komatireddy shot back, 'When did I tell you that I'm going to join the Ruling Party?'.
On the present state of Congress, Komatireddy opined National Party is in desperate need of a surgery. He dared to say, 'We have to be prepared for Post Mortem, if the surgery gets delayed further. Present PCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy is incapable of leading the party from the front and he is worse than previous PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah. Uttam should resign taking moral responsibility for the failures of Congress in the state. Congress got defeated in Paleru by-election only due to incapable Leadership. My Brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy failed in Bhuvanagiri election only because of the political game of Uttam. If I'm the PCC Chief, Either I would try my best to see party win or resign if the result was negative. 15-20 Senior Leaders feels they will be the CM Candidate for next election. I will pen a letter to Sonia Gandhi demanding Congress High Command need to give a clarity on who will be CM Candidate for 2019 Elections right now'.
