MLA medical bill cost Rs 1 crore

This details came to light with the Right to Information (RTI) petition filed by an RTI activist Subhash Agarwal to find out the expenses during the period 2008 till October 2013.
Apparently, Delhi lawmakers were entitled to free medical treatment or reimbursement and also free accommodation in government-run hospitals have been provided.
Based on this provision, Mr Sharma seeks a reimbursement of Rs 1.03 crore for medical bills alone. Next in the list is Independent MLA Bharat Singh with Rs 25 lakhs and BJP MLA HS Balli with Rs 17 lakhs medical bills.
Delhi assembly consists of 70 MLAs. Out of them, 73 MLAs have claimed medical reimbursement in this term.
