By: Tupaki Desk | 8 Jun 2017 4:04 PM GMTKerala Government has convened a special session on Thursday to pass a resolution opposing the ban imposed by Centre on cattle trade and slaughter. In the 2-hour session, Centre was urged to withdraw the notification against cattle slaughter. Only the sole BJP MLA in Kerala Assembly opposed the resolution.
MLAs who reached the Assembly at 8 AM for the Special Session asked the waiters in the Canteen to serve them beef for breakfast. Kayamkulam MLA Prathibha Hari & Vaikkom MLA CK Asha were the first to arrive for Breakfast. They had beef with dosa this morning.
Other MLAs who had come for breakfast followed suit. Majority of LDF & UDF Legislators were spotted enjoying sumptuous beef breakfast. MLAs defended beef fest in Assembly Canteen saying it reflects the stand taken by the State Government.
