MLAs Poaching Row: MLA Pilot Reddy Faces Big Shock!

The ruling party in Telangana wanted to corner the Bharatiya Janata Party on the alleged MLAs poaching row. The TRS which is now BRS used it as a big weapon ahead of the Munugode by-polls. A Special Investigation Team(SIT) was also formed to probe the matter and gather information.
Spoiling the plans of the ruling party, the Telangana High Court recently issued orders transferring the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) from the SIT. The orders were issued the other day by the High Court hearing a bunch of petitions.
Now TRS MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy suffered a big shock in the case. It is known that the legislator moved the High Court with a petition alleging that he is harassed by the central agencies in the case and sought directives to set the case filed against him aside.
On his behalf, senior lawyer Niranjan Reddy placed his arguments. Saying that the MLA received an offer to shift his loyalty from the party he is with, the lawyer said the MLA did not receive any money and hence there is no money laundering angle in this.
The lawyer also told the Court that efforts are being made to make the MLA an accused in the case. However, the High Court said no to issuing a stay on the case and posted the next hearing till the 5th of next month.
Having posted the next hearing of the case to the 5th of next month, the High Court directed the Directorate of Enforcement to file a counter affidavit in connection with the alleged MLAs poaching row.
