Model Sangeeta attempts suicide in Chittoor Jail

Model Sangeeta Chatterjee who was arrested in connection with red sandalwood smuggling attempted suicide in the Chittoor Jail on Thursday.
Sangeeta Chatterjee, who hails from Kolkata, entered into the modelling field at the age of 20 and later became an air hostess. Her life changed completely after she met Markonda Laxman who smuggles Red Sandalwood to Malaysia, Dubai and China. Laxman was already married by the time Sangeetha came into his life. They both entered wedlock in 2013.
In 2014, Chittoor Police nabbed Laxman and booked a case under PD Act. Sangeetha used to take care of business operations when her hubby was in jail. In March this year, Cops arrested Sangeetha in Kolkata and shifted her to Chittoor. She was denied bail by the court since the past five months.
Sangeetha wasn't able to adjust to the jail life. She consumed the toilet cleaner meant to clean the bathrooms in jail. Doctors cleaned her stomach and said she is out of danger. Laparoscopic Test will be conducted to check if any organs in her body got damaged.
