Modi's Attacks On Pakistan Trouble Opposition Parties
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 March 2019 6:14 AM GMTPost air strikes deep inside the Pakistani territory, there is a surge in the popularity of the BJP and this could quickly translate into more votes and more seats in the upcoming elections. The decision action taken by PM Modi has clearly helped the BJP improve its stock. Many surveys say that the BJP could improve its tally. So, what will the opposition party do now to counter the BJP? Who will lead the charge against the BJP? This is the question tormenting the Opposition now.
Sources say that top Opposition leaders like NCP's Sharad Pawar and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu have swung into action and have asked the Congress Party to reconsider its decision on the alliance with the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal and Aam Admi Party in Delhi. Meanwhile, even Mamta Banerjee is trying to patch up the differences between the AAP and the Congress in Delhi.
However, AAP does not want to have any truck with the Congress in Delhi. It has already announced the candidates for the six of the seven seats in the capital city. Mamta has suggested to Arvind Kejriwal to ensure that there is no split in the anti-BJP votes.
