Modi's Critic Replaces Amit Shah - RSS Did It!
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Dec 2018 1:26 PM GMTNames featured in the list of new state in-charges released by BJP for 2019 Lok Sabha Polls came as big surprise for everyone. Gordon Zadaphia, known to be a staunch-critic of Modi-Shah, makes a stunning comeback into the national politics. He replaced none other than Amit Shah as the in-charge of crucial state, Uttar Pradesh.
Not even Topbrass BJP Leaders expected this major decision at least before 2019 Polls. In 2014 Polls, BJP won 71 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. As the Modi wave is diminishing, BJP faces a huge challenge in Uttar Pradesh where the Opposition Parties (SP, BSP) has united.
Gordon Zadaphia is strongly connected to RSS and known for his Hindutva ideology. RSS decided to put an end to the domination of Modi-Shah duo after losing power in the three northern states.
Not to forget, Zadaphia was the Home Minister of Gujarat during 2002 Godhra Riots. In 2009, He differed with the BJP Leadership which sidelined him and floated a new party. He, however, came back to BJP ahead of 2014 Elections. This Senior Leader wasn’t even a party MLA candidate in 2017 Gujarat Polls. All of a sudden, He is back into the limelight again.
