Modi Behind KCRs Snap Poll Decision?
X
Why did KCR go for early polls? Many arguments are being put forward. But, most of them do not have much substance. Actually speaking, KCR does not need to go in for early polls. There is no truth in the argument that he had gone for early polls as his popularity graph was plummeting. Even if this is true, no one knows how to manage the people and change the mood like KCR does. Even if the going is tough, KCR is known to raise sentiment and add lot of emotion. So, this argument does not stand the test of reason. Also, the argument that KCR wanted to shock the opposition and win the election before the Opposition gets its act together, does not hold water.

The real reason, according to those in the know, is Modi's plan. It is Modi, who has planned the whole thing. But, why does Modi want KCR to go for early polls and what benefit will he derive out of this? Sources say the BJP is set to lose the three states where it is going for assembly polls, namely Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. So, if the TRS wins in Telangana, the BJP can say that the people voted out the state governments, not Modi. It can argue that anti-incumbency against the state governments could be the reason for the defeat. In Telangana, it can claim that Modi factor had helped the TRS win the elections. This can help in damage control. So, it is Modi, who made the TRS dance to his tunes. It is only to save the BJP and Modi that the elections have been advanced in Telangana.
