Why PM Modi offered Rs 20,000 for Bride-to-be?

Families who planned Marriages in the auspicious season cursed Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he announced demonetization on November 8th. Parents of the bride and bridegroom were worried about the marriage expenses after the ban on old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.
Jitendra Sahu, a weaver in PM's constituency Varanasi, was shocked with the note ban as he planned his Daughter's marriage. Though he saved some money for the wedding expenses, Mr.Sahu have no clue what to do after demonetization.
Jyoti Sahu, Daughter of Jitendra Sahu, has written to PM Narendra Modi on November 9th explaining how scrapping of old currency has left her family devastates. Within 9 days, A local district official reached her house to handover Rs 20,000. The family members have informed that Prime Minister himself has come forward to help them. Seems like, Jyoti's prayers were answered finally. Kudos to Modi for doing his best to minimize the damage!
