Modi's Suit enters Guinness World Records

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's suit which was gifted to him by the Businessman Ramesh Varma entered Guinness World Records as the Most Expensive Suit sold. The Rs 11 lakh worth suit was gifted to PM on the eve of Ramesh Varma's son wedding on January 26th.'Narendra Damodardas Modi' monogrammed as pinstripes on this suit.
Namo wore that black suit during US President Barack Obama's India visit. Later, It was bought by Surat-based diamond merchant Laljibhai Patel for Rs 4.31 crore. The 62-Year-Old told he always wanted to do something in the interest of the Nation and hence bought it.
A controversy erupted after Opposition Parties questioned how a Prime Minister could accept such an expensive gift from an individual. Now, The same suit made it to the Guinness World Records as the most expensive suit sold in auction.
