Modi Threatened Us: Manmohan Singh
X
Contrary to his image as a calm-going person, Former PM Manmohan Singh wrote a letter to President Ramnath Kovind accusing PM Narendra Modi of using unwarranted, threatening and intimidating language. He was referring to the speech delivered by Modi during the campaigning for Karnataka Assembly Polls.

While addressing a gathering in Hubli constituency on May 6th, Narendra Modi warned: 'Congress Leaders need to listen to Me with open ears…If you cross your limits, This is Modi…You should pay the price'.

Manmohan Singh is of the impression any such threat from the PM himself should be condemned. He says this isn't the kind of language to be used by a PM of a democratic country which is home for 130 crore people. He terms the words used by Modi were intended to insult and provoke breach of the peace.

Former PM appealed President to caution PM from using such language against Congress Leaders or any person. The letter was signed by Ahmed Patel, Mallikarjun Kharge, P Chidambaram, Kamal Nath, Ambika Soni and few others.
