Modi treats People above 75 as Brain Dead
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Jun 2015 3:20 PM GMTSenior BJP Leader Yashwant Sinha takes a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the cut-off age of 75 years he selected as a norm for induction into his Cabinet as Ministers.
Faulting the PM for neglecting the veterans after BJP regained power, Yashwant Sinha stated Narendra Modi has declared all those who are above the age of 75 years as brain dead on May 26th, 2014. "I am one among those brain dead," he added.
Yashwant Sinha served as Finance and External Affairs Minister in Vajpayee and Chandrsekhar's regime. He is one among the Senior Leaders like LK Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi who were sidelined post 2014 General Elections. Currently, Advani and Joshi were serving as members of BJP's Margadarshak Mandal and they will be acting as mentors for the party.
Modi's idea of choosing 'age' a parameter to induct into Cabinet has been criticized by a lot of people within the party. MP Shatrughan Sinha slammed Modi for not inducting Advani into cabinet and advised him to prefer mental alertness and good health as the criteria instead.
