The first Mann Ki Baat radio address of NDA-2 took place on Sunday, June 30th. Ahead of 2019 Elections, Crores of people expressed doubts over the possibility of NDA retaining power with absolute majority. NaMo cleared all the doubts in his style by setting a new record.
During the radio address on Sunday, Narendra Modi directed all the Indians to create awareness about water shortage. He asked people to share knowledge about traditional methods of water storage, circulate information about Individuals/NGOs working on water conservation.
Modi told only 8 percent of the rain water is harvested in India. He stressed the need to address the water shortage with the active participation of people. PM appealed Indians to share ideas on water conservation using hashtag #JanShakti4JalShakti. The goal should be to conserve every drop of water.
In 2019, Rainfall is 38 percent lower than normal. Requirement of water in India will be double that of supply by 2030.
