Former Chief Minister and serving Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who became PM in 2014 has been celebrating the Diwali festival with the soldiers since then. He is likely to continue his routine this year too.

If we have to take anything from the reports, serving Chief of Defence Staff of India(CDS) General Bipin Rawat would accompany Narendra Modi in his Diwali celebrations.

Narendra Modi, who always shower his love on the soldiers celebrated five Diwali since 2014 in different army camps. He celebrated his first Diwali as PM in 2014 at the Siachen glacier base camp with the Jawans there.

His second Diwali as the Prime Minister of India was celebrated at the Punjab border in 2015. The Prime Minister has interacted with the soldiers at the border.

Despite the issues at the Line of Control (LoC), Narendra Modi has visited the Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district and celebrated Diwali with the Army troops who were deployed at the Line of Control (LoC).

Coming to 2020 Diwali, the Prime Minister is likely to visit an Army base at the border and will celebrate Diwali going by his tradition he has been following for the past six years.

Diwali, one of the famous Hindu festival which is celebrated in various parts of the world will be celebrated on Saturday, November 14. Diwali is a symbol of victory of light over darkness.
