There has been much said and written about tightening Visa regulations by the Trump administration, H1B in particular. Indians who always find a way to land in the USA, plan to get a Green Card first and ultimately target Citizenship are now eyeing on a smart but expensive route EB-5 Visa.

EB-5 Visa is popularly known as Investor Visa. Sometimes it is referred as Golden Visa as well. This Visa assures migration with a quicker eligibility for acquiring the Green Card. The recent data show that EB-5 applications are tripled in the last four years and it is gaining popularity among the Indians.

To acquire this Visa, the Indian applicant has to invest $500,000(Rs. 3.2 crore) in the USA and it will assure Visa for him, his wife and his unmarried children. US Government is planning to increase this amount to $920,000(Rs. 5.7 crore).

An expert in US Immigration services, David Gunderson is saying that there is no minimum education or income requirements to apply for this Visa. He revealed that they have various investment options, EB-5 FD+Green Card scheme for $1 million one of them which offers 8% to 15 % return against the industry standard of 0.5%. He said that their scheme will allow the Indians to get Green Cards for self & family and offers a high return on Investment.

He said that US Immigration permits the investments that are risky, but if their investments create at least ten new jobs in the US, they will reward with Green Cards. He cautioned the EB-5 applicants should be careful while choosing investments. He said that US Freedom Capital offers investments which strictly adhere to the rules of SEC and they have small-scale projects in real estate, health and education sectors in the range of $8-10 million. They will materialise with three years 3 to 30 EB-5 investors can get their capital back in five year period.

He said that once the applicant received EB-5 Visa, they are free to live and work anywhere in the USA. On an average, they may get Green Card in two years. He said that China is in the first place among EB-5 applicants followed by Vietnam and India.
