The market range of Southern films got expanded and filmmakers are taking the NRIs into consideration while choosing the script to picturization of scenes to comedy quotient.
According to an official survey, Overseas audience have given thumbs up to five big South Indian films.
Most Liked South Movies in Overseas 2012:
1. Gabbar Singh: The film which brought back Pawan Kalyan on track and shattering all the opening records of Tollywood films.
2. Thuppaki: The success of this film is a true example of the star power of Vijay in Tamilnadu and he is now only next to Rajinikanth in fan following.
3. Eega: This graphical extravaganza stood as one of the best films made on Telugu screen until now. Rajamouli only again made it clear that content matters the most.
4. Businessman: Mahesh Babu's characterization & power-packed performance, Kajal's glamour and Thaman's compositions makes it an enjoyable film.
5. Nanban (3 Idiots Tamil remake): A mass hero like Vijay playing the lead and a star director like Shankar coming on board for the remake of critically acclaimed and commercially successful '3 Idiots' made it reach out to wider audience.
