Now a ruling party MP aced the Pushpaâs Matangi get up. Having participated in the Jatara, the MP surprised everyone with his look and he took part in the Yatra. The MP became the talk of the town with his Matangi setup.
Going into details, Tirupati MP Gurumurthy attended the Tirupati Tathayagunta Gangamma fair to offer prayers to the River Ganga. The MP grabbed everyoneâs attention with Matangi's look. Along with others who donned the get-ups like Hanuman, he danced to the beat.
Seeing the MP in Matangi look, the locals showed interest in taking selfies with him. It is said that the MP posed for selfies with locals accepting their request. Besides this, the MP also grooved to the beat rhythmically.

The festival is celebrated to offer prayers to the goddess Gangamma, who is the Gramadevata of the temple city. It is said that the Goddess came to save the locals and women.
The Tataiahgunta Gangamma Temple located in the temple city holds the festival and the folk festival is dedicated to the River Goddess. Legend say that the Goddess is the sister of lord Venkateshwara, the preceding deity in the Tirupati temple which is the richest one in the country. The week-long festival starts traditionally with Chatimpu on a Dappu as it is a folk festival. For a very long time, the festival has been celebrated.
