Halt Polavaram Project: MP in Lok Sabha!

BJD raised the issue of Polavaram Project on Godavari during Zero Hour of Parliament.
Party's MP Bhartruhari Mahtab alleged AP Government didn't keep its promise to ensure not an inch of land in Odisha would be submerged. He pointed out Tribal areas in Odisha's Malkangiri district were getting inundanted due to this mega project. He also faulted Centre for offering clearances for rehabilitation and resettlement without taking the objections raised by Odisha into confidence. Alleging NDA Government for the partiality shown to AP while settling the dispute, He informs Lok Sabha that Odisha has now moved Supreme Court for justice.
Lastly, The lawmaker accused State Government of not even holding consultations with Chattisgarh inspite of the fact that it is affected because of Polavaram project.
Already, Polavaram Project is getting delayed as Centre hasn't been releasing sufficient funds for speedy completion. Odisha's latest move might bring more problems to AP Government.
