Pawan Kalyan kept saying that Centre should give a clarity on the funds it gonna spent for Polavaram Project as there are many loopholes in the documents approved by Union Cabinet. The worst fears of Jana Sena Chief has come true now.
In response to the Query raised by Congress Rajya Sabha MP KVP Ramachandra Rao, Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti clarified AP Government has to bear the cost if the expenditure of Polavaram Project exceeds the initial estimates. She also make it clear, 'Only the money spent by AP Government since April 1st, 2014 will be reimbursed. Fund for Polavaram Project will be offered through Nabard'.
Already, AP Government has sent fresh estimates of Polavaram Project to the Centre. In the wake of above statement from Uma Bharti, It's pretty clear that Centre willn't be singing to the tunes of Chandrababu Naidu. TDP Government claims Polavaram Project will be completed by 2019. But, A lot depends on the pace with which Nabard releases the funds.
