Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju is always earns respect among the politicians. Here is another instance which may prove the versatility of the royal leader. The minister today speaking at parliament made it clear that Members of Parliament are not "super citizens" to get special treatment at airports.

He made those comments in question hour while replying to a demand of one BJP member that they will be given no priority airports. The BJP MP has raised concern that no one at airport paying heed to them even they display their identity cards.

Replying to him Raju said that all the MPs are treated with utmost respect and his ministry will do everything to make their travel more comfortable. "But MPs are not super citizens," Ashok Gajapati said

TRS MP Jithendra Reddy requested that MPs should get upgrades based on availability of seats in the higher class. Rejecting the proposal the aviation minister said it will not fit the commercial pattern.

The minister said there is a humanitarian angle in upgrading seats and added that sick people, senior citizens and people with special needs will be given highest priority.
