A tense situation aroused at a Sri Lankan beauty pageant after the crown presented to the winner was snatched from her moments after the presentation. The video of the chaos is going viral.

Going into detail, a beauty pageant took place in Sri Lanka earlier this week. Pushpika De Silva was crowned Mrs. Sri Lanka. However, Caroline Jurie, Mrs. Sri Lanka world snatched the crown from her and awarded it to the first runner-up at the event.

In the viral video, Caroline Jurie can be seen reappearing on th stage moments after Pushpika was crowned and announcing the first runner-up as the winner citing that divorcee cannot hold the title.

'There is a rule that you have to be married and not divorced. So, I am taking my first steps saying that the crown goes to the first runner-up,' Caroline can be heard in the viral video.

After walking out of the state, Pushoika took to Facebook to narrate the entire incident and said in no beauty pageant the crown was snatched from the winners not only in Sri Lanka but in the world.

Reacting to the incident, Chandimal Jayasinghe, the national director of Mrs. Sri Lanka World called it a disgrace and found fault with Caroline Jurie's behvaiour, and said an investigation is underway.
