With a net worth of $42.1 billion, Mukesh Ambani emerges as the Richest Person in Asia as per Forbes list. RIL Chairman overtook China's Hui Ka Yan who is the chairman of Evergrande Group as his wealth increased by $466 million due to 1.22 percent rise in Reliance shares. During the same period, Hui Ka Yan's wealth decreased by $1.28 billion and his net worth is $40.6 billion.
Globally, Mukesh Ambani stood at 14th position on Forbes real-time billionaires list. His wealth is equal to the GDP of the former Soviet republic of Azerbaijan.
Reliance Industries is India's most valued firm with a market capitalization of over $6 lakh crore. TCS, HDFC Bank, ITC and HDFC occupies rest of the Top 5 places in this category.
