Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani emerged as Richest Indian with a net fortune of USD 18.9 billion for the 9th year in a row. Mr. Ambani proved his dominance inspite of USD 4.7 billion dip in his net worth in a span of one year.
As per the Forbes latest report, The combined wealth of India's 100 Richest Individuals stood at USD 345 billion in 2015 as against USD 345 billion last year. Decline in stock market and depreciation of rupee should be seen as a reason for no big change between 2014 & 2015.
While Dilip Shanghvi of Sun Pharma stood at 2nd Position with a net worth of USD 18 billion, Wipro's Azim Premji is at 3rd Spot with USD 15.9 billion. The rest of the Top 10 places were occupied by Hinduja Brothers (USD 15.9 billion), Pallonji Mistry (USD 14.7 billion), Shiv Nadar (USD 12. 9 billion), Godrej family (USD 11.4 billion), Lakshmi Mittal (11.2 billion), Cyrus Poonawala (USD 7.9 billion) and Kumar Mangalam Birla (USD 7.8 billion).
Flipkart's co-founders Sachin and Binni Bansal have found a place in India's 100 Richest for the first time. They were at 86th position with a net worth of USD 1.3 billion each.
