Reliance Industries Chairman & MD Mukesh Ambani's annual pay package has been capped at just Rs 15 crore for the eighth year in a row. For the financial year 2015-16, He received Rs 4.16 crore as salary, Rs 60 lakh as allowances, Rs 71 lakh as retirement benefits and Rs 9.53 crore as commission on profit.
In fact, A salary of Rs 38.75 crore per year was approved for the Reliance Boss by the Board of Directors. However, Mukesh Ambani capped his salary at Rs 15 crore and sacrificed Rs 23.75 crore per annum since 2008 only to lead by example on right-sizing of CEO Salaries.
During the same period, Salaries of Executive Directors of Reliance had seen a big jump. Whereas, Nita Ambani who is Reliance non-executive director was paid Rs 1.2 crore commission and Rs 6 lakh sitting fee per year.
