Mulayam revokes Akhilesh's expulsion in a day

Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh expelled UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and SP General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav from party on Friday. This happened a day after Akhilesh Yadav released the list of candidates for UP Assembly polls even after Mulayam disclosed the list of 20-plus candidates chosen by him.
Interestingly, Mulayam Singh revoked the expulsion against Akhilesh Yadav and Ram Gopal Yadav on Saturday. The news was confirmed by UP Samajwadi Party chief Shivpal Yadav.
Shivpal Yadav told: 'We will fight the UP Assembly polls unitedly against the communal forces. All issues have been resolved. Final List of candidates will be announced after holding discussions'.
On the other hand, Akhilesh Yadav told SP MLAs that he respects his father and SP Chief Mulayam Singh. 'I was expelled from party not family. I am still with my father. I wish to gift the victory of SP in upcoming polls to him,' he said.
Akhilesh, however, left the meeting midway to meet Mulayam. Over 200 out of 229 SP MLAs backed Akhilesh Yadav over Mulayam Singh Today. As many as 12 Ministers, 150 MLAs and 35 MLCs attended the meeting at Akhilesh's home.
Meanwhile, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav spoke to Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Yadav for a patch-up.
