Days after the HPCL plant in Visakhapatnam reported a fire mishap, one more fire accident was reported from the shore region Visakhapatnam on Thursday. A fire accident was reported at a power substation in the Simhachalam area.
Going into details, a fire mishap was reported at the electric substation in RR. Venkatapuram near the temple city Simhachalam.The accident took place after multiple transformers exploded.
According to the locals, the incident took place around 3:30 AM today. The locals informed the firefighters about the incident and they rushed to the spot and swung into action.
The situation was brought into control by the fire engines after the fire at the substation was doused. The heavy fire left locals worried. After the situation was brought under control, the electricity supply was resumed.
However, the officials said no injuries and casualties were reported while the property of the electric department was damaged by this. The reason behind the fire mishap is yet to be ascertained.
