Mulug MLA Seetakka is fast emerging as a role model for other MLAs through her hard work and determination. This Congress MLA from Telangana is known for her outreach to remotest corners of her constituency. This former Naxal, who trekked through the hills and forests of North Telangana region, has now donned another hat.

Seetakka aka Anasuya had worked as an underground Maoist for years, before surrendering to the police. Later, she did her LLB and became a lawyer. After that, she entered electoral politics and joined the TDP. Later, she joined the Congress and became an MLA. The latest feather in her cap is being awarded PhD for her research work.

Seetakka has been awarded PHD in Osmania University for her study on the Gotti Koyas migrants in North Telangana. Her guide Prof Tirupati Rao is the former vice-chancellor of Osmania University. He is currently the chancellor of Manipur University. In a tweet, she thanked head of the department of political science Prof. Musalaiah, prof. Ashok Naidu and head of board of studies Chandru Naik.

Several party men felicitated her on her achievement. She has thus become a rare MLA who was awarded PhD for her research work. She expressed her happiness through a series of tweets on the social media. Seetakka is currently busy in the campaign for the party candidate in Munugode.
