Hyd most affordable, Mumbai costliest!

Hyderabad stood as the most affordable metro for buying and renting a house. People with annual income of over Rs 8-9 lakh can buy a house in this city. Property prices have fallen by 10.5% in the past 4 years and rents had gone up by 1% during the same period.
Ahmedabad occupies the second place in affordable metros list. Here, Property Prices were dropped by 20% and rents by 4%.
Mumbai, Pune and Delhi NCR are the costliest to buy & rent a house. Property prices have gone up in Mumbai and Pune by 73.91% and 49.97% respectively since 2012. Whereas, Delhi NCR have seen a price rise of 9.13% since 2014. While Bengaluru observed a growth of 9.76%, Chennai's rise stood at 5.55%.
People with an annual income of Rs 25 lakh can only afford to buy a house in Mumbai and Delhi NCR. The annual income should be in the range of Rs 20 lakh and Rs 15 lakh for Chennai and Bengaluru/Kolkata.
