An interesting thing regarding the Mumbaikars(people of Mumbai) came out in a recent survey. Mumbai is known as the financial capital of India.. now it has got the rare recognition that the people live in the city are the most hardworking in the whole world.
Mumbai is also known for its 24X7 work culture and people work hard without taking much rest here. Mumbai population more than 2 crores and it is one of the most populous cities as well. When the employees of Mumbai are compared with the 77 other top cities across the world, they have topped the list with 3314.7 working hours per year.
We can understand the hardworking nature of the Mumbaikars if we know that the world average working hours is 1987 hours per year less than the Mumbai. Swiss bank UBS survey revealed these interesting things.
Though Mumbaikars are working very hard the financial benefit they are getting is very less when compared to the employees of other cities. If an employee of Zurich city wants to buy a costly iPhone X, he can do it by just working for 38.2 hours. If it is the employee of Geneva he can buy by just working for 47.5 hours. Los Angeles employee can do the same by working for 50.6 hours. If Mumbaikar wants to buy the same phone, he has to work for 917.8 hours. If Delhiite wants to buy the same phone he has to work hard for 804 hours.
