Terror attacks are not new in India. A few dark incidents have been reported in the country where a few terror groups have carried out brutal attacks. Recently, reports were saying that the terror outfits are in plans to carry out a big attack on a big occasion.

Many media outlets had reported that terror groups are reportedly in plans to make an attack and for that recce was also conducted near Wankhede Stadium, which is hosting the majority of games in the forthcoming IPL season which will commence fon Saturday.

Now the Mumbai Police department had come up with a piece of good news saying that there is no truth in the reports that a recce was conducted. The department also said that there is no intelligence information too on the possible terror attack.

The Police Department made these statements after conducting searches at the grounds where the matches will be held and the hotels where the players will stay. Upon doing this, the department had urged everyone to not believe such false news.

The news comes as a big relief to the fans who were worried about the tournament fearing whether the alleged terrorist attack will have an impact on the game or not. While rubbishing the reports, the Police department said that security has been beefed up to deal with any unwanted situations.

The forthcoming season which marks the 15th season of the tournament will kickstart from March 26, i.e Saturday, Defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns with each other in the inaugural match. The famous Wankhede Stadium will host the match.

After two long years, the entire season will be played in India. After a lot of discussions, the Board of Control for Cricket in India had decided to host the tournament in Maharashtra. Venues were also picked within the state.

When the covid had hit, the 2021 edition of the tournament was held in the UAE and the response was terrific. The IPL was streamed on Hotstar and other platforms and the streaming numbers made it big. Fans have been waiting for the IPL and the count for the same has started.
