The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) owned by the Union Government, Gujarat Government, and Maharashtra government crucial move in regard to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project.

The NHSRCL inked a deal with Indian technology, engineering, construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (l&t). The deal was made for the design and construction of a viaduct type of Bridge. The Bridge will be 237 kilometers long.

The NHSRCL inked a deal for the Design and Construction of 47% of MAHSR alignment. This includes 4 stations and Depot.

The project, which marks the first bullet service in the country will be operated at a speed of 320 km per hour. Once completed, the bullet train will cut short the travel time between Gujarat and Mumbai.

It is believed that the project is worth Rs 24,000 crore. Larsen & Toubro Limited bagged the contract to complete the country's first bullet train facility. The construction works will kick start very soon.

"The NHSRCL signed contract agreement with Larsen & Toubro Limited today for the design and construction of 237 km length of viaduct between Vapi (Zaroli Village at Maharashtra- Gujarat Border) and Vadodara in the state of Gujarat for 508 kms of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor," NHSRCL's statement read.
