Municipal elections: 2727 ward members, 385 councillors

The polling date is ahead and the candidates started their poll campaign, the polling will be for 2727 ward members in 120 municipalities and 385 councillors in the nine municipal corporations. The elections are going to be held on 22 January and the results will be announced on 25 January.
However, TRS has already won 77 wards unanimously in various municipalities and 3 MIM candidates were also declared elected after other candidates withdrew nominations. About 54 lakh voters will utilise their votes during the Municipal elections. The election commission has already released the list of photo identity electoral rolls. People whose names are missing from the electoral rolls can approach Electrol Registration Officer and submit the application using the forms 6,7 or 8 and the forms will be examined.
