Munugode Proves Congress Bad Record In Bypolls In TS!

The vote counting in the much-awaited Munugode bypoll started earlier today and the final result is out. After a lot of twists and turns, the TRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy was declared the winner. As predicted by the experts earlier, the main fight is between the candidates of BJP and TRS as per the early trends.
Though the grand old Congress party also tried its luck in the by-election and made the senior party leader’s daughter run the polls she could not leave her mark. She could not even pose a big threat and she even lost in the Congress party’s stronghold.
Forget about posing a big fight, Congress which was expected to claim at least third position could not even get a deposit. Congress party candidate Palvai Sravanthi Reddy failed to get at least 1/6th of the votes polled. Congress lost another by poll.
Things are not going well for the Congress party in Telangana from the 2014 polls. The party suffered a humiliating defeat and the TRS rose to power. Since then the party has been getting weaker and weaker. In by-polls, the party has had no good record in the state since 2028 as it lost all the elections.
Winning the by-election was very crucial for Congress as it is the sitting position to it. Komatiredy Rajgopal Reddy left the party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. After a lot of brainstorming Congress went for former MP Palvai Goverdhan Reddy’s daughter Sravanthi Reddy.
