Muralidhar Rehabilitated, But What About Ram Madhav?

It appears that the BJP's national leadership has forgiven its former general secretary Muralidhar Rao. He has now been partially rehabilitated by making his incharge of the important state of Madhya Pradesh. He will now have a job to do in the BJP hierarchy.

But, more importantly, another key leader Ram Madhav is yet to be rehabilitated. He has been removed from the national general secretary post and has not been given an alternative posting within the party. While the likes of Muralidharan, Purandeshwari, Satyakumar and Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy have been given incharge positions for various states, Ram Madhav has been completely ignored. While his supporters say that Ram Madhav is likely to get an important post in the BJP government in the days to come, his detractors say that the top brass has evidence of Ram Madhav's indiscretions and hence has sidelined him.

In fact leaders like Sambit Patra, who have not been accommodated in the party organisation, have been given responsibility of Manipur state, where the party has a government. Tarun Chugh, who holds the charge of Telangana also has Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. These appointments come in the wake of the party's stupendous success in Bihar and in the bypolls across the country.
